Be one of the first to see award-winning playwright Sandy Rustin's new play, Struck, when it comes to the Kennedy Theatre on June 21st - July 2nd at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. After being struck by a bicycle while crossing an East Village intersection, Vera Resnick (Emily Kron) feels a strange and out-of-character connection to the college-aged kid (Liam Yates) responsible for the collision. Is this mysterious connection real? Is it a coincidence that brought Vera and the biker together? Or, are larger forces at play? In this surprising and soulful Manhattan seriocomedy, Vera, her husband (Sid Solomon), and their hippy-chic Texan neighbor (Melissa Macleod) seek truth in the face of deception, exploring matters of fate, family, and self-identity that affect all of their lives.

Theatre Raleigh's Summer Season:

Lombardi - Kennedy Theatre (July 19th - 30th)
Lombardi chronicles the legendary football coach's journey from Brooklyn Boy to the Hall of Fame. Highlighting David Henderson (founder and artistic director of Honest Pint Theatre Company and for the past 20 years, he had the pleasure of playing Jacob Marley in Theatre in the Park's annual production of A Christmas Carol), Broadway veteran Judy McLane (Broadway's Mamma Mia, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Aspects of Love) and Directed by Charlie Brady (Broadway's South Pacific) known to TR audiences for his work in A Few Good Men and All My Sons.

The Secret Garden - Fletcher Opera Theater (August 15th - 20th)
This enchanting classic of children's literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style -The Secret Garden is a compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal. Presenting Skyla Woodard (local productions of Mary Poppins, and Disney's The Little Mermaid), Michael Halling (Broadway's Boy From Oz, A Tale Of Two Cities, The Scarlet Pimpernel), and Jenny Latimer (25th Anniversary Tour of Les Miserables).

Rock Of Ages - Koka Booth Amphitheater (September 7th - 10th)
Rock of Ages tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Directed by Michael Berry and Choreographed by Abbey O'Brien don't miss the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and more.
