Theatre Raleigh Announces Expanded Family Series Image

Theatre Raleigh's Family Series is back and better than ever! Last year they welcomed more than 2,000 young people and their families into their audience, and they are expected to exceed that this season. They will be bringing back last year's breakout hit, A Midsummer Night's Dream (March 2- 18) and follow that with the premiere of a brand new show Adventure Road: A Story of Huck & Tom (April 13-29). To top it all off this summer they will be introducing a Summer Camp (July 16-27) and will be expanding their beloved Family Series into the fall.

Introducing your children to theatre doesn't have to be overwhelming and stuffy. Let Theatre Raleigh's interactive shows, cozy seating, and informal atmosphere help set the stage for a lifetime love for the arts.

Theatre Raleigh's Producing Artistic Director Lauren Kennedy Brady says, "The Family Series has turned out to be the most unexpected and exciting part of our programming. To watch the children riveted and laughing through these 50minute adaptations is the most rewarding part of my job. The kids come out after the performance excited to meet the actors, take pictures with the cast and friends in our photo booth and ask when they can come back to see another show!"

All shows are at the Kennedy Theatre in the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are on-sale and can be purchased at http://www.theatreraleigh.com.
