Electrify your fences, hide your goats, and don't forget to deadbolt the door: dinosaurs are on the loose in Chapel Hill. Clever girls.
In TRIASSIC PARQ: THE MUSICAL, an unexpected... umm... "protuberance" on a previously-female T-Rex brings chaos and division to the dino tribe. In search of an explanation for this growing problem, an adventurous and naïve young Velociraptor appeals to Science and Faith for answers. Featuring power ballads, Veloci-rapping, and dinosaur roars, TRIASSIC PARQ is a sexy, gender-bending rock musical about how "life finds a way."
An audience favorite at the New York International Fringe Festival, TRIASSIC PARQ received the Best Musical award and a subsequent Off-Broadway run. The New Yorker writes that Triassic Parq is "one of the most entertaining youth-culture musicals in years," while New York Magazine calls it "low-brow and brilliant." This is its Southeast premiere.
TRIASSIC PARQ features Chapel Hill indie-rockers Bears in the City as the supporting band. This up-and-coming trio will soon be playing stadiums, so this is your one shot to catch them dressed up as dinosaurs. Listen to their music at www.reverbnation.com/bearsinthecity.
