BURN THIS is a riveting play about the bloom of love rooted in tragedy. We find ourselves exploring an insular group of friends, mourning the loss of one of their own. The weaving tale between Anna, Burton, and Larry only gets more skewed throughout the play when Robbie's brother shows up at their doorstep. Will love and friendship prevail over loss. Or will sadness, bitterness and anger overwhelm them all?

BURN THIS runs August 3rd through the 19th, at Sonorous Road Theatre & Film Studio.

"I remember reading the NY Times review when BURN THIS debuted on Broadway in 1987. It talked about how John Malkovich was amazing but that his character, Pale, didn't really connect with Anna, the dancer at the heart of the show. How the performance was pitched to the back row rather than connecting with Joan Allen. When I read the play, I could see how the character could be played that way but I thought it would be more interesting if the play was focused on the dynamics between the two. Pale is still a huge presence but I think it is more interesting to see how each character affects the other, Pale's affect on Anna and vice-versa.

Lanford Wilson's writing is truthful and poetic. The play is about people and how they connect or don't connect with others and their inner selves. I think BURN THIS is as relevant as ever in the exploration of how we want to relate to others and the difficulty of developing and maintaining human relationships." -Tony Lea, Director

The cast features local Triangle actors Danielle Koppel as ANNA, Dan Wilson as Pale, Jonathan King as Burton and David Ring as Larry. With direction under Tony Lea. Set design by , lighting design by Liz Droessler and Sound Design by Shelly Snapp.
