North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional regional theatre producing Broadway musical revivals, is ready to electrify audiences this February with the world's favorite musical, Grease! Directed by Broadway veteran Hunter Foster, choreographed by his wife, Jennifer Cody, leading the cast of this upcoming production is Raleigh native John Arthur Greene as Danny Zuko and Emily Behny as Sandy Dumbrowski. Joining the cast are Lauren Cipoletti as Rizzo; Michael Warrell as Kenickie; Ryah Nixon as Marty; Lily Tobin as Frenchy; Amy Toporek as Jan; Matthew Rodin as Doody; F. Michael Hayne as Roger; and Casey Shane as Sonny.
The cast also includes Kelsey Walston as Cha-Cha DiGregorio; John T. Wolfe as Eugene Florczyk; Malcolm Armwood as Teen Angel; Carly Prentis Jones as Miss Lynch; Vince Fontaine. Dance Captain Peyton Royal, Kinsland Howell, Randy Coin, and Emily Thomas complete the ensemble.
The rest of the Rydell High student body is comprised of several students from the North Carolina Theatre Conservatory: Leilani Carr, Joseph Gaitens, Carly Grissom, Joshua Keen, Victoria E. Marsh, Ahmad Ratliff,Jack Richardson, and Cady van Venrooy.
The creative team of North Carolina Theatre's production of Grease is led by by Artistic Director Casey Hushion, and Producer Carolee Baxter.
Grease runs at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium from February 9th-14th, 2016!
