Directed by Jesse R. Gephart and starring Chris Maxwell as Hedwig and Lydia D. Kinton as Yitzhak, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" is the final show in RLT's 15/16 season. The play replaces "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" and runs May 1 - 17 in the Gaddy-Goodwin Theatre.

This is the first production of "Hedwig" in the Triangle since Raleigh Ensemble Player's at Legends Nightclub in 2008. Neil Patrick Harris, Michael C. Hall and now John Cameron Mitchell have all played the role in the currently running Broadway revival at the Belasco Theatre.

"Hedwig is such a beautiful story of finding completion and wholeness from within, accompanied by an amazing rock score. It's been a favorite show of mine for over a decade and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to direct it with such a talented cast and creative team," said Jesse R. Gephart, director.

The Angry Inch is guitarist Eliot Wilcox, bassist Keith Lewis, drummer Tim Wall, and pianist/music director Craig Johnson. Features members of local rock group Spiralfire and San Francisco based Kat Robichaud and The Darling Misfits, this quartet serves as Hedwig's backing band, bringing influences from the full range of the rock spectrum.

The cast will perform selections from the show at Out Raleigh on Saturday, May 2nd. For more information about that event and specific performance times, visit http://www.outraleigh.org/.

"Hedwig and the Angry Inch" is intended for mature audiences. Tickets for all events at RLT can be purchased by calling the box office (919)-821-3111, Monday through Friday, noon to 5:00 p.m., or by visiting the theatre's website at www.raleighlittletheatre.org.
