Eugene Kobisky plays the Bayan, a traditional Ukrainian wind instrument. He has performed for the past 18 years at a variety of International Folk Festivals, played on the "Silver Screen", at Wilmington, NC, played on numerous TV & Radio Shows and in schools, colleges and universities. Mr. Kobisky will be performing in traditional Ukrainian garb.
Jennifer Chang is an internationally recognized Gu Zheng master soloist on this ancient instrument. She teaches and performs all over the world. She has performed internationally in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong. As an honored musician, she was a featured soloist for the emperor Japan and the former president Bill Clinton. Jennifer Chang studied the instrument with Grand Masters in China, obtaining graduate degrees in traditional Chinese music and a mastery of Gu Zheng. In 2001 Jennifer Chang moved to the U.S., where she has been sharing her gift as an instructor and pursuing her music career. Since 2004, Ms. Chang has started collaborating with Raleigh Civic Symphony and Chamber Orchestra for concert series. (Jennifer Chang is pictured in performance in the attached photograph).
