Two theatre companies in residence at two universities in two cities!
"I am a man more sinned against than sinning." Shakespeare's monumental look at an aging monarch, full of hubris and on the precipice of senility, as he divides his kingdom among his three daughters. In turn, they break his heart, resulting in a loss of country, loss of family, loss of self, and loss of sanity; a sublime exploration of foolishness in all its forms.
Honest Pint Theatre Company is a small professional theatre company located in Raleigh, NC. Their inaugural offering was a critically acclaimed production of A STEADY RAIN by Keith Huff. Sweet Tea Shakespeare Company seeks to celebrate the wonder of Shakespeare and other classic stories by providing simple, elemental, magical theatre experiences in an atmosphere of beauty and fellowship. Sweet Tea Shakespeare imagines, enacts, and embraces theatre in the spirit of Shakespeare and early modern performance as it seeks to employ the ingenuity and drive behind Shakespeare's own company through productions, music, artist development, and community engagement. The company seeks to kindle inspiration among its audiences and artists, enabling and empowering them to find "home" in the language, stagecraft, and common work of Shakespeare and classical theatre production in Fayetteville, the region, and beyond.
