Mason Alexander Park last performed at Raleigh Little Theatre in March of 2006. He was ten years old when he played the Little Old Man in "James and the Giant Peach."

Since that time, he has toured nationally with "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," appeared on "iCarly" and "Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures" on Nickelodeon, and been featured in the PBS documentary "Broadway or Bust." In June 2016, he was the first countertenor to be cast in the role of Miss Andrew (aka The Holy Terror) of a regional production of "Mary Poppins" at the Pittsburgh CLO. Mason will make his return to RLT's stage in "Divas!," a one-night only cabaret fundraiser, on Saturday, March 25.

"Almost a decade has passed since I last performed in Raleigh and it will be an honor to return to the very first theatre where I stepped onstage after I originally moved to the Triangle. Raleigh Little Theatre's dedication to the community and to the talent it harbors is inspiring, and what better time to come back as a "Diva" than while on a quick break from traveling the country as the biggest musical theatre diva of all time, Hedwig, in the very first Broadway national tour of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." It will be a joy to bring a little punk rock to RLT a few years following their production of the show. It truly has worked out spectacularly in terms of timing! As a young philanthropist, this event truly brings all of my passions together into one evening, so to be able to use my voice and help out a wonderful cause is enthralling. Please donate and snag a ticket to the show," said Park.

Since it began in 2004, "Divas!" has raised $400,000 to support Raleigh Little Theatre programs. A group of RLT's most talented performers come together to create a unique cabaret evening to delight the audience and encourage votes in the form of donations. This year's theme is "Lullaby of Broadway" and the show will feature a tribute to classic musicals like "42nd Street" as well as contemporary numbers from Broadway's most popular shows. The performance will also be punctuated by a live auction for exclusive prizes.

There will be a pre-show reception catered by Eschelon Experiences, a silent auction, a wall of wine, and a raffle for tickets to Broadway's biggest hit, "Hamilton: An American Musical." The money raised at the event will enable RLT to continue in its mission to be a welcoming community using theatre to enrich, educate, entertain, and engage volunteers, students, and audiences of all ages.

"Divas!" is Saturday, March 25. Showtime is at 8pm and the reception will begin at 7pm. Tickets for all events at RLT can be purchased by calling the box office (919)-821-3111, Monday through Friday, noon to 5:00 p.m., or by visiting the theatre's website at www.raleighlittletheatre.org.
