Common Ground Theatre "Small Series" Presents: The Maids by Jean Genet
Two maids plot the demise of their egotistical madame in this suspenseful and sexy French classic. The themes of class unrest and fame-seeking violence keep this script current as the audience is taken on a fantastical funhouse ride through the outsider world of Jean Genet.
Featuring Mary Guthrie, Amanda Hahn & Sheryl Scott. Directed and designed by Rachel Klem.
Common Ground Theatre's "Small Series" is an innovative theatre offering by many of the best performers in the Triangle area. Selected artists are encouraged and supported by Common Ground Theatre to find classic one-acts to rehearse and present. With little to no technical aspects to get in the way, artists are free to connect with the text and create Moving Theatre for the public to experience.
