Common Ground Theatre (www.cgtheatre.com) is a performance and teaching space located in west Durham, offering performing arts and educational groups a flexible, well-equipped alternative space. The Theatre provides a convenient venue for Triangle audiences to experience the diversity of our area's arts and educational offerings. All events listed will be held at Common Ground Theatre. The Theatre is hosting the following events in November & December, 2012:

Bravest Face Improv Presents: November Reign O'er Me
Three teams performing improvised comedy: Playdate!, Horrible Folks, and Diversity Training

[THEATRE]
THE MEN IN ME: Our Fathers, Our Sons, and Our Brothers... weaving more compassion and power into their stories
The Men in Me is written and performed by Anita Woodley, the creator of the award-winning breast health show "Mama Juggs". This new show, The Men in Me, is debuting at Common Ground Theatre and tells the stories of young males in America - young and old, straight and gay, liberated and incarcerated - who hunger to grow beyond bleak circumstances and dismal statistics. Their chosen roads - whether dead-ending or circling back or opening up - helped shape Woodley into the woman she is today. Anita is a former Award-Winning Producer for WUNC's The Story with Dick Gordon Journalist and the 2012 Durham Arts Council's Emerging Artists in Drama.

One Song Productions Presents: Tribes
One Song Productions fall show is Tribes, a play by Nina Raine and directed by Eliza Filene. Recently produced in London, and Off-Broadway in New York City, Tribes is a play about human identity, communication, and love. Billy's family, like every other, is a club. You can be as rude as you like, as possessive as you like, as critical as you like. Arguments are often seen as a way of expressing love for one another. But Billy, who is deaf, is the only one who actually listens. When he meets Sylvia, he decides he finally wants to be heard.

Common Ground Theatre Presents: A Trailer Park Christmas by Rachel Klem & Jeffrey Moore
Local filmmaker Jeffrey Moore and Common Ground Theatre owner Rachel Klem team up to present this interactive, holiday entertainment. Set in West Durham, A Trailer Park Christmas follows the Dodson/ Hussey family as they grapple with crazy neighbors, ghosts, fruitcakes and a holiday tornado.
