CG Theatre Announces February Listings

Common Ground Theatre (www.cgtheatre.com) is a performance and teaching space located in west Durham, offering performing arts and educational groups a flexible, well-equipped alternative space. The Theatre provides a convenient venue for Triangle audiences to experience the diversity of our area's arts and educational offerings. All events listed will be held at Common Ground Theatre. The Theatre is hosting the following events in February, 2011:

FatMouth Improv Presents: Two-Act Comeback
Join Fatmouth for an evening of long-form improvisation. Silliness with a purpose!
Saturday, February 5, April 23, and June 18 at 8:00 p.m.

Act Trinity Performing Arts Company Presents: Chocolate Vanilla written and directed by Veronique MacRae
Chocolate Vanilla is the exploration of racial tension between African-American males and females. From the beginnings of slavery to the 21st century, this piece explores the difficulties, judgments, assumptions and struggles of being an African-American and the internal struggles within American Society. Infused with spiritual hymns, poetry, song, dance and step, Chocolate Vanilla gives voice to the hushed disparity of racism within the African American culture.

Bare Theatre Presents: Oh Sh!t, It's Another Evening of One-Act Plays
Bare Theatre concludes its sixth season with a production that contains such a wide range of styles, genres, emotions, and ideas that the only title that captures it all is, Oh Sh!t. This variety of contemporary one-act plays will have audiences falling in love, laughing, guessing who done it, and wondering.
