On Friday, October 18 there will be an elegant celebration of Burning Coal Theatre Company, Raleigh's intimate professional theater organization. Much Ado About Something, the company's first-ever fundraising gala, will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the historic Capital Club Building at the corner of Martin and Salisbury streets from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
The evening will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer, and specialty beverages, as well as some truly amazing desserts with coffee. You'll have fun watching some of your favorite Burning Coal actors enact moments from the plays of William Shakespeare. Jazz vocalist Yolanda Rabun, a star of Crowns and other Burning Coal productions, and her trio will perform. Silent and live auctions will feature some remarkable items, including a theater excursion to Washington, DC, with Artistic Director Jerome Davis.
