About Nocturne
Fifteen years ago, an accident shook a quiet, suburban family to its core. Adam Rapp's chilling, poetic tale is of a family splintered apart by tragedy and a son seeking absolution. Rapp's language and use of imagery weave the story into a rich tapestry of regret, forgiveness, and, ultimately, peace.
About the Playwright
Adam Rapp is an American, playwright, film director, novelist, screenwriter, and musician from Joliet, Illinois. He graduated from St. John's Military Academy in Wisconsin with hopes of becoming a pro basketball player, but found out that he had a knack for creating stories. He took this talent far, and ended up writing several plays such as Finer Noble Gasses, Stone Cold Dead Serious, and Red Light Winter, which received the Joseph Jefferson Award in 2005. His plays, novels, music, and films portray his special talent and he continues to be perceived as one of the best young minds in theatre today.
