Why: Musical Theater is one of the ultimate team experiences that can teach important life lessons. It allows students with a wide range of interests - from music, dance, art, and theater, to fashion, lighting and set design - to learn how to work together to reach a common goal.
School musicals aren't necessarily about creating tomorrow's academy award winners (although many celebrities like Tom Cruise, Sarah Jessica Parker, and George Clooney credit their school musical as the their starting point), musicals are about creating student-driven arts experiences. The experience of being part of a show offers our children an opportunity to explore the arts in a safe and healthy environment leading to a life-long appreciation of the arts.
Further Information: Schools may register or get more information by contacting Jeremy Peterson at jpeterson@ncbpac.org or 704.348.5836. After schools have indicated interest, a registration form will be sent to the school, which must be completed and returned before the registration is finalized.
