Auditions 8/15 for the 2011 New Play Festival at Centre Stage

Open auditions for the 2011 New Play Festival will be held tomorrow August 15 & Tuesday August16, at 7:00 pm at Centre Stage. This is an excellent opportunity for all, the experienced actor, the novice actor or someone who has never auditioned before to try their hand with a play in the making. A group of four plays will be performed at the festival, September 12th - 16th, readers theatre style, with the voted favorite receiving a staged production in January 2012. There are a variety of roles for men and women to be cast (breakdown below). Check it out! For more information call the theatre at 233-6733!

MARGARET- Female 25-40 years old. A loving woman who is in search of a family.
DANIEL- Male 30-40 years old. Successful, extremely charming. A bit of a bad boy.
TAMARA- 30-40 years old. A very successfully lawyer who does not appreciate having her live interrupted.
HELEN- 60-75 years old. A woman who loved her husband deeply. She is now trying to create a new identity for herself.

PROFESSOR Ernest Mann - Male 50-60. An extremely intelligent, slightly jaded gay male who is mourning John Lennon's death.
PROVOST JANE STILLTER - Female 40-60, A successful woman who appreciates the eccentricities of her faculty, but knows when to intervene.
PROFESSOR ARDEN FENSWICK - Male 40-55. A unique part time professor of English. Ernest's life partner.
EICHARD FINE- Male 40-55. A powerful ruthless lawyer.
OSCAR FINE - Male 18-25. An aspiring writer with a dark side.

LEO- Male 22-60. Bright eyes focused on the future.
RAMONA- Female 17-25. A sun-bleached dreamer.
PALMER - Male 40-60. A farmer who cannot see past his heritage.

You Are Here by Steve Totland
ROGER- Male 30-45. A developmentally disabled father who loves his son.
GUY - Male 16-25. A college-bound son who loves his dad.
CLARICE - Female 55-65. A friend of the family who keeps them together.
EMILY - Female 16-25. Guy's girlfriend.
DERRICK- Male 25-45. Roger's best friend. Also developmentally disabled.

GRAYSON CAMPBELL - Male 25-35. An idealistic doctor and brilliant research scientist who marches to a different drummer.
AMELIA - Female 25-35. Gray's beautiful wife. An accident forced her to give up her own career and her husband is now a disappointment to her.
PATRICIA - Female 20-65. A beautiful doctor, a strong smart woman.
RUTH - Female 35-55. A lawyer and high-powered corporate executive.
JONATHAN HEMMINGER - Male 40-55. A very important man. The puppetmaster, the kind of man who really runs the country.
KATHY - Female 25-35. A sexy, young, but very capable woman.??
