The Stone at The Estates Theatre

Marius von Mayenburg wrote the play Der Stein to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. It depicts Heidrun, her aged mother and teenage daughter returning in 1993 to their former house in Dresden. It is supposed to mark a new beginning of their lives, yet the past comes back to haunt them, old injustices rise to the surface, and the house becomes one of the lead characters.
