The sound of the band next Christmas will be part extracted subjects of orchestral works and operas composed by authors such as Johann Strauss, Giacomo Puccini, Offenbach, Georges Bizet, Leroy Anderson, Léo Delibes and Giuseppe Verdi. A set of anonymous villancicos, popular character, also appear in the program. For the holiday debut, the Philharmonic Orchestra Mediterranean carries a tenor, soprano and two professional dancers: the voices of the first and the movement of the second illustrate compositions without age, able to delight the whole family.

Sergio Kuhlmann was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He studied orchestral conducting with Mario Tavares. Earlier in his career, he was conductor at the Municipal de São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Brazilian state of Goiás Theatres. In 2003 he left for Spain to follow the course Music in Compostela, in which was distinguished with the Prize Andrés Segovia. Since then held several functions in the neighboring country institutions: was director of the Philharmonic Choir Orfeón of Madrid (2004-2007), program developer El conciertazo of RTVE and director of several opera seasons of Madrid Theatre.
