The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA begins its 2023/24 season on September 23 and 24 with guest soloist Antonio Pompa-Baldi performing Rachmaninoff’s lyrical and enduring Piano Concerto No. 2. VSO Music Director and Conductor Maestro Salvador Brotons returns to the podium for his 33rd season, conducting Prokofiev’s much-loved Symphony No. 4 and Ravel’s immensely popular Bolero, in addition to the piano concerto. Pompa-Baldi is an award-winning concert pianist and a beloved professor of music at the Cleveland Institute of Music. This concert will mark the beginning of the VSO’s 45th season, following the inaugural Vancouver USA Arts & Music Festival which the symphony created in partnership with the City of Vancouver.
Tickets to these performances at the Skyview Concert Hall are available for in-person attendance or to watch live online at Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s website, vancouversymphony.org. Discounted student tickets are also available.
