Sordid Lives at Twilight Theater Company

Twilight Theater Company, the community theater that brings you Entertainment with Edge, announces its upcoming production of Sordid Lives, by Del Shores, opening on January 24, 2020. "Sordid Lives" puts a comedic twist on a story of unconditional love, acceptance and coming out in a colorful small-town Texas family. The entire clan has converged for the funeral of Peggy, the family's matriarch and a good Christian woman ... who died from an accident after tripping over her lovers wooden legs in a seedy motel room to make matters worse, it happened during a rendezvous with a legless Vietnam War vet who is husband to one of her best friends.This event lets out the closeted skeletons as a unique menagerie of family members must come to grips with the calamity, and proceeds to wallow in an often riotous assortment of feuds, resentments, remorses and reconciliations while preparing for what could be an extremely embarrassing funeral.Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French.
