Marisol by José Rivera
Directed by Victor Mack
Angelic warfare, mental illness and a postmodern world take center stage in Jose Rivera’s magical, disturbing and disorienting world. Rivera pushes the boundaries of sexual politics and the pathology of fear and paranoia and somehow accomplishes it all with brilliant touches of humor and hope.
Marisol runs Dec. 1-17, Thursday through Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm. All performances take place at the Shoebox Theatre, located at 2110 SE 10th Avenue, Portland, Ore., 97214.
