Broadway Rose Theatre Company, in partnership with Bag & Baggage Productions, presents a concert workshop production of IS YOU IS, a new musical exploring the historical Races of Mankind exhibit in Chicago. The show features a jazz-meets-musical theatre score and follows two sets of characters across different eras, connecting through their relationships to the controversial exhibit. Created by playwright L.C. Bernadine, jazz musician Erik Olsen, and director Nik Whitcomb, this production highlights the struggle to overcome inherited ideas and reshape societal institutions. Performances will take place at the Broadway Rose New Stage from October 19 to October 27.
