Great White Gives It Up, by Ajai Tripathi
Sandeep and Bert are back, and are those wedding bells we hear? Well, not if history has anything to say about it.
Whereas it's prequel, Great White Gets Off, is about the primal sexuality of gay lust, Great White Gives It Up by Ajai Tripathi explores gay love and the struggle to recognize our own presence in a collective history that has continuously tried to erase us. It tells the story of how colonialism of the distant and recent pasts effects everyone negatively in the present. And it reminds us that our connection to our past is the key to unlocking doors in our present and future.
It is beautifully and masterfully sculpted as an homage to Joyce’s Ulysses and Homer’s Odyssey reminding us that home is not a place or even the people who inhabit a place; it is a state of mind, a space inside of each of us where we feel appreciated, accepted, and ultimately loved.
Thursdays- Sundays @ 730pm. Sundays at 5pm.
Special Revival performances of Great White Gets Off on 2/24 and 3/2 @ 5pm.
