SexyNurd Productions presents Superuckus ‘11, a fundraising event to benefit the National MS Society, Oregon Chapter. For its first annual production, Superuckus ‘11 will showcase true stories of people using humor to cope with difficult situations, including the autobiographical solo show, SexyNurd. This public event will be held on Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9 at 7:00pm at The Woods, 6637 SE Milwaukie Avenue in Portland. Tickets are $20 each and are available at www.superuckus.com.

The event's headliner, auGi, is a veteran of
Hollywood's Improv, The Second City, and has appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Portland's Mortified and Live Wire! He will be performing his hit one-man show, SexyNurd: Rockstar Trapped in a Nurd's Body.
"My mom was diagnosed with MS when I was ten years old," said auGi. "Despite her physical challenges, she maintained a great sense of humor and always laughed at my antics. She'd say, ‘Oh, auGi Pooh, you should be a comedian.' Thing is, I didn't want to be a comedian-I wanted to be a rock star-and that's the genesis of SexyNurd. Whatever my dream, Mom encouraged me to keep walking towards it, even when she no longer could."

Superuckus '11 is in memory of auGi's mother, Mary Garred, who lived with MS for 35 years.

"When I shared the premise of SexyNurd with the local MS Chapter, they felt it was a completely different way to generate awareness about MS," said auGi. "This is my first time working with the National MS Society and, after a year in the making, I'm thrilled that we've brought such a powerhouse of funny Portland entertainers together for this wonderful cause. Mom would be proud."

The event will also feature well-known Portland storytellers Karol Collymore, Erin Ergenbright, Meagan Kate, B. Frayn Masters, and Jimmy Radosta.

auGi - Performer/Producer
auGi created, wrote, produced, and performed in hundreds of shows at both The Second City and the world famous Improv in Hollywood, was a regular feature on "The Best of the Worst" on NBC's Last Comic Standing, and appeared on Comedy Central and E! auGi co-wrote and starred in his autobiographical solo show, SexyNurd: Rockstar Trapped in a Nurd's Body, to rave reviews in Portland and Seattle. He's also made appearances on Live Wire!, Entertainment for People, and Mortified. He's writing and starring in his new one-man show, Teenage Commando, during Portland's Fertile Ground Festival this January along with award-winning PBS special storyteller, Slash Coleman, in the world premiere of Big Plastic Heroes.

About Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body, and stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States, someone is diagnosed with MS - an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to an MS-free world. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with more than twice as many women as men affected by the disease. More than 400,000 people in the United States and 2.5 million worldwide live with MS.

About the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
The National MS Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now-to move together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn't.

We help each person address the challenges of living with MS through our 50-state network of chapters. The Society helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.
