Portland Ovations is pleased to announce that Charles Kibort has joined its staff as the Director of Marketing and Audience Development.
"Charles comes to us with tremendous marketing experience and a deep passion and appreciation for the performing arts," states Portland Ovations' Executive Director, Aimée M. Petrin. "We are very excited to welcome him to the Ovations family."
Starting his career in New York City at Sotheby's auction house, Kibort has always been intrigued by the arts, but found his creativity and strategic way of thinking better suited for the world of advertising and marketing. His career has brought him from New York to Portsmouth, NH and now Portland where he has lived for the past six years. Having worked with such brands as Warner Bros., Mercedes-Benz, Smith Barney and most recently TD Bank, Kibort brings a diverse background of marketing and advertising experience to the role. "It is wonderful to have the opportunity to combine my career with the things I have a true interest and enjoyment for," says Kibort.
Portland Ovations has several performances remaining and will be wrapping up its 2010/2011 season at the Merrill Auditorium on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 with Steve Martin performing with The Steep Canyon Rangers.
