Extreme Physical Characterization Workshop
Sarah Liane Foster just returned from the Helikos School in Florence, Italy, where she has been teaching and studying clown-- tap into what she learned while it's "fresco e puro!"
About the Workshop
Humans are extreme; the world around us even more so. This workshop delves into the infinite theatrical and comic potential of the world around us in creating dynamic physical characters. Through intense play, movement technique, and improvisation, we will explore the movement dynamics of animals, natural elements (fire, water, earth, air) and materials (paper, rubber, steel, spaghetti, etc, etc, etc) and use them to build a rich, diverse vocabulary of character possibilities.
