Classes held off-site at Actor Studio Northwest
LTC Studio Pro is a training program for dedicated young actors who want to have fun while gaining confidence, presentation, and life skills. Students will have the opportunity to participate in LTC-TV webisodes featuring students as reporters and crew members. Other professional workshops are offered to Studio Pro actors throughout the year.
The curriculum focuses on reality acting, applicable for film, television, and theater, and is designed for students who want to perform. Students learn many aspects of the television and film mediums, including TV/Film acting, filming, directing and more. Performances on camera and with a live television audience are some of the additional highlights, with the final viewing on the Lakewood Theatre's Headlee Mainstage Big Screen.
Classes will be held at Actors Studio Northwest, 6200 SW Virginia Ave. Suite 200, Portland, Oregon 97239.

Prerequisite: Fun-damentals of Acting with Nancy McDonald or another foundational acting class. This is a class for actors returning to the craft and feeling a bit rusty, for seasoned veterans who need a place to stretch and develop their skills, or for the actor who is ready for the next level and looking for a fun, safe environment that builds trust and confidence. With a focus on the foundations of the actor's work, this class will cover choice of material, script analysis, scene study, auditions, and the emotional journey, all while discovering your own "technique" by exposure to various methods and processes that have stood the test of time. Your instructor has studied with some of the most prestigious schools and instructors, worked with accomplished directors, and performed in about every genre of acting over her long career. She brings that expertise to this class and your work. This class is a pre-requisite for the Professional Actors Class.

Whether you're interested in a crash course as a beginner or a brush up as a pro, this playful four-hour workshop will teach you how to improvise songs, melodies, lyrics and more with the accompaniment of a real live musician. As a cast member of award-winning Girls Girls Girls: Improvised Musicals (Austin, TX) and long-time improv music maker, Aden Kirschner will guide you along the path to find your inner rock star. You'll develop and deepen your abilities to create simple repetitive choruses, detailed verses and playful bridges. This class covers three of the most commonly used song structures in improvised theatre, several lyrical strategies, and some delightful ways of sharing songs with your scene partners. Get ready to make up some on-the-spot awesome! You'll be sure to have a song in your heart and a skip in your step when you're done. There are no pre-requisites for this course and ability to sing is not required.

It's Never Too Late To Sing

This class is for you if you want to audition for musicals, sing with friends, perform karaoke or prepare for competitions.
