INSIDE OUT: AWESOME VISUAL STORYTELLING FOR TEENS.
Picture books, comics, graphic novels, animation, video games, and film - what do they have in common? All tell their stories visually. Illustrator/author Mark Fearing and screenwriter Randall Jahnson are combining their decades of professional experience to focus on the core skills necessary to make entertaining stories for visual media. Young artists, writers, and directors will learn character development and depiction, narrative structure, and how to create drama using dynamic images as they adapt a classic story into a script and storyboard. Drawing skills are not necessary but imagination is!
The six-week session Sept. 20 - Oct 25 is designed for students ages 13-18 $150 and meets Thursdays, 4:30-6:30 at Lakewood Center. Cost for the class is $150.
WRITING MOVIES: A BEGINNER'S GUIDE with Randall Jahnson.
