HART (Hillsboro Artists Regional Theatre) is kicking off their 15th season with a production of the Broadway hit Moon Over Buffalo. The show opens on Friday, September 11th and runs through October 4th with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2pm. With this 2009-2010 season, HART has a new start time for all of their evening shows of 7:30pm.

Set in 1953, Moon Over Buffalo is a comic farce about a long married acting couple, George and Charlotte Hay, who perform Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives at a repertory theatre in Buffalo New York. Charlotte has grandiose dreams of becoming a Hollywood film star, so when famed director, Frank Capra, calls to say he needs replacements for his current film, a series of hilarious misunderstandings are set in motion.
Director Brian Allard has gathered a fine cast, including Ron Harman as George Hay, Allison Anderson as his wife Charlotte Hay, Elizabeth Daniels as their daughter Rosalind and DaleNe Young as Charlotte's mother Ethel. Nik Hoback as Paul, Lissie Lewis as Eileen, Joel Durham as Howard and Steve Hotaling as Richard round out the troupe.

In addition to the start of HART's 15th season, an anniversary celebration will feature the official ceremonial lighting of HART's beautiful new theatre marquee. Donations from the City of Hillsboro and many others made the much needed marquee possible, and three additional signs are planned as funds become available.

Friends of HART, a non-profit community organization formed in 1997 to operate the theatre, is dedicated to enriching the greater Hillsboro community by providing quality live performing arts at a reasonable price. Overseen by a dedicated board of directors consisting of various community members and arts supporters, Friends of HART has grown HART into a respected live community performance theatre that produces a regular season of creative, clever, and entertaining plays in its newly created 99-seat theatre.
