In the late 19th century, bored American housewives used to get together at tea parties (called "Ladies' Clubs") to pursue intellectual endeavors and educate themselves on fine art and literature. Carol Triffle's latest comedy Beaux Arts Club turns that all-but-forgotten institution on its head.
Susanna the host has trapped a mysterious man in a new installation which she will unveil to the group. When Harriet and Miranda arrive for the evening's festivies they do their best to unravel "the dangers" of such an art exhibit.
Triffle's black comedy blurs the lines between art and danger and asks what kind of risks does it take to become an artist.
Anne Sorce, Megan Skye Hale, Meme Samkow are theBeaux Arts Club, with Kyle Delamarter, Samson Syharath, and Jon Farley adding to the misguided and zany characters.
