Of the honor, Eric Earley offers, “It's a real honor to be chosen for induction to the OR music hall of fame. Having lived in Oregon my whole life and watched the music scene's ever changing evolution over many years, it's so great to be a part of that history and the fabulous sounds generated in this weird, unique corner of the world!”

In support of their new album, 100's of 1000's, Millions of Billions out now on Yep Roc Records, the band have confirmed new fall tour dates. Following an appearance at AVLFest in Asheville, NC August 3, along with a few shows out West, the band will kick off their 13-date Midwest and East Coast fall tour November 2 at SPACE in Evanston, IL, with stops in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Washington DC, Milwaukee, and Madison, among others. A complete list of dates is below and tickets are now available here..

The enthralling 12-track album arrives nearly four years after 2020’s Holy Smokes Future Jokes, and sees Blitzen Trapper leaning into their psych rock-washed, classic songwriting roots to create one of the finest works of their career–nearly 20 years in. “This whole project grew out of a box of old four-track tapes from the ’90s that I found recently,” explains frontman Eric Earley, “The tapes were full of songs I’d written and recorded back when I was 19 or 20 years old, and the sound and the spirit of those recordings got me excited to start writing music again, to go back to working the way I did when I was first starting out.”

Also inspired by Earley’s fascination with Buddhist texts and meditation – the title comes from a phrase that appears over and over in the Mahayana sutras –  100's of 1000's, Millions of Billions offers a captivating take on rebirth and transcendence, and the circularity of existence, navigating its way through the space beyond dreams and reality, beyond gods and mortals, beyond life and death. The album features backing vocals by Eric D. Johnson (Fruit Bats/Bonny Light Horseman) and singer-songwriter Anna Tivel, arrives nearly four years after 2020’s Holy Smokes Future Jokes, and leans into their psych rock-washed, classic songwriting roots to create one of the finest works of their career.

Launched roughly two decades ago in Portland, OR, Blitzen Trapper broke out internationally with 2008’s Furr, which cemented their status at the forefront of the modern indie folk revival. Rolling Stone hailed the band’s “hazy, psychedelic Americana,” while NPR praised their “explosive live performances and infectious roots-rock swagger.” Dates with Fleet Foxes, Wilco, and Dawes followed, as did festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Newport Folk, and Coachella, among others.
