Auditions will be held at Gallery Theater for Narnia. The show is based on C.S. Lewis' The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

· Saturday, September 17, 10:00-5:00
· Monday, September 19, 6:30-9:00 p.m.
· Tuesday, September 20, 6:30-9:00 p.m.
· Dance Auditions Saturday, September 17, 1:30-4:30 p.m. & Sunday, September 18, 1:30-4:30 p.m.

This is an OPEN Casting Call. Auditions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY (10 minutes each) and can be scheduled by calling the box office at 472-2227 Tuesday-Friday 12-6:00.

What to bring to auditions:
1. A photo of yourself that will not be returned. A photocopy is acceptable.
2. A monologue in the style of the character you are auditioning for.
3. A song in the style of your character, 16-20 bars maximum. (Voice ranges will be posted & piano, audio-tape/CD player will be provided).

A musical presentation of The Chronicles of Narnia brings to life an enchanted world filled with creatures and spirits of myth and fable, both good and evil. The land is ruled by the majestic King Aslan, the great lion o f Narnia. Aslan is often absent so his very existence is doubted by some. But he returns when the need for him is greatest. And entering Narnia at a moment of high adventure are some children who learn lessons of courage, unselfishness and wisdom.

Adult Characters:

Aslan-the great lion of Narnia-(baritone) heavy costume, face paint.

Witch-beautiful evil queen (mezzo/alto) low G to upper E, face paint.

Mr. & Mrs. Beaver-British cockney accent, heavy costume, face paint, sing C to low A.

Father Christmas and Professory Digory Kirke-sing C to D

Youth Characters:

Peter-play age 13, sing C to high E

Susan-play age 12, sing C to D

Edmond-play age 10, sing C to D

Lucy-play age 8, sing C to high F

The following parts could be boy or girl:

White Stag-harbinger of good luck, very good dancer.

Rain Deer-pull the witch's sleigh, dance.

Dwarf-the witch's slave, sing C to Ab

Ferris-the witch's wolf, sing C to Ab

Ryweth-another wolf

Tumnus-a faun, sing C to high E

Witch's Army-cruelies, demons, vampires, hags, ogres, zombies, etc.

Aslan's Army-naiads, dryads, centaurs, unicorns, foxes, leopards, eagles, etc.

If cast, you will be required to pay a $25 refundable deposit for script/music rehearsal material.

Eleven Performances: November 25, 26, 27, December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16 & 17 ~ 2011

Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Sunday performances at 3 p.m.
