THE ’P’ PROJECT at Teatr Wielki - Opera Narodowa, Moniuszko Auditorium

The second edition of a project presenting the most important and boldest discoveries of contemporary Polish music and theatre. The ‘P’ Project: P for Poland, pre-premiere, perversion, pandemonium, plenitude.
On the one hand, we have Marcin Sta?czyk – a composer and
lawyer whose works combine the sensuality of spectralism of the Gerard Grisey variety with the ecology of silence according to Salvatore Sciarrino. On the other hand, we have S?awomir Wojciechowski – with his love for German iron discipline which, however, leaves room for Eros and
Thanatos, in which there is still air. And Krzysztof Garbaczewski – perhaps the hottest name in young Polish theatre today. He is a director who’s not afraid to deprive Balladyna of her virginity (Teatr Polski in Pozna?), to challenge the Polish Kings (Stary Teatr in Kraków), or overexpose the form of Ivona, Princess of Burgundia (Jan Kochanowski Theatre in Opole).
