New Year’s performances by the W?adys?aw Skoraczewski Artos Music Society have become a yearly repertoire tradition. The choir, which is affiliated with the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera, also prepares the children’s roles for the theatre’s productions.
In its three years of existence the choir has had many successes. The latest one is an invitation to take part in a gala concert on the 20th anniversary of the world premiere of Misatango — Misa a Buenos Aires, to be conducted by composer Martin Palmeri on 17 April 2016 at one of the world’s most prestigious concert halls: Carnegie Hall in New York.
This is an unprecedented event, as Artos is the first Polish mixed choir and the second Polish choir after the Pozna? Nightingales to give a concert at Carnegie Hall.
