Another Shakespearian masterpiece in the choreographic interpretation of Izadora Weiss. This time again she rejected the established musical version, composed by Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and she looked for a composer that in her view would be closest to this whimsical, royal-ludic comedy about the mysteries of love, sex and the world of dreams. Her choice fell on Goran Bregovi? and his sensual, brilliant interpretation of old folk motifs, which enjoys great popularity, especially in Poland. A brave and risky decision, but our charismatic artistic director of the BDT not for the first time shows evidence of her courage and extraordinary intuition for intertwining music and dance theatre. Her uncompromising stance in building her own style and a company comprised of imaginative personalities has brought her many admirers, not only in our country. The newest production will not let them down, and we believe it with increase their number by all those who love dance and the joy of life that can be achieved through it. Another sensational aspect of this project are the costumes designed by one of the greatest artists in the field, Gosia Baczy?ska, reigning in the fashion world, but at the same time revealing much deeper resources of her talent in theatre.
