Review: The Elements 2 Evening Of Choreography ImageI love watching dance in all possible forms and I think we don't get enough of it in Polish scenes, so when the opportunity to see dance in pure form presented itself, I couldn't resist and I never have enough!

The ballet ensemble of the Wrocław Opera is just brilliant. They are breathtaking, you look at them and think: there is no way the human body and creativity can do such things. There are times when we literally forget to breathe. This show contains 12 short dance pieces for varying numbers of dancers, from 2 to 11 choreographed by individual dancers. Each one is different and original in a particular way but they have one thing in common, they are all executed to perfection. All kinds of music, from classical tango to Review: The Elements 2 Evening Of Choreography Imagemodern electric music, different dynamics, from a romantic touch to martial arts. Universal topics like love mix with some modern social aspects like feminism and when a dancer is a choreographer, there are no limits to what a body can or cannot do. Once they have the freedom to express what they stand for, there is no gravitation and I love it! Malgorzata Dzierzon, head of the Wroclaw Ballet, calls it a laboratory and I find this name very apt. They experiment, they explore. I'm so glad we get to see the result.

Seeing all this talent on stage was a real treat, a feast of fun and entertainment. There is perfection in the movements but also each dancer has their personality and that makes the show even more interesting. Every piece is like the unicorn in a field of horses.

It is difficult to describe all the choreographies, so I decided to describe each of them in one word.
