Last Premiere of Opera Wroclaw this season is going to take place in couple of days. And it will be huge!
Big stage is already built on a wall not usually seen by audience. On the back of Opera we can see impressive Fortune sculpture with eyes covered by golden sash lying down. 3 leveled stage, overwhelming blue scenography with casino's attributes: cards and tokens will be universal background to all four acts - so different one from another.
It will be epic! Italian Opera Traviata, more than 200 artist on stage, over 100 stuff members backstage, 150 lights devices, multimedia projections, 2200 places for audience every night, variety of decorations with highest point - 20 feet.
This is already 41st supershow produced by Opera Wroclawska, 2nd in this location (previous were for example in Hala Ludowa or on Odra River). This time director is one and only Grazyna Szapolowka, conductor - Simone Valeri, Ewa Kochanska is responsible for scenography and costumes, choreography was made by Karol Urbanski. In main characters we will see: Renata Vari, Anna Lichorowicz (Violetta), Dawid Banos, Lukasz Gaj (Alfred), Adam Kruszewski, Jacek Jaskula (Giorgio Germont), Aleksandra Opala, Jadwiga Postrozna, Dorota Dutkowska, Katarzyna Haras-Kruczek. They promised new and fresh view on this classic piece. I can't wait!
Wroclaw's audience will see a lot! Variety of action, well known love story presented with momentum were spectator will have to judge by himself course of events and moral from this story - director herself said that she couldn't dare to make a statement and appraise main characters in this story. One is sure: the show will remain in memory for a long time - it will be blue, elegant and powerful. As a sneak peak have a look at this photo!
