An ambiguous and bloody, factual story of Borys Fiodorowicz Godunov, Tsar of Russia in the years 1598 - 1605.
A long-standing struggle for influence while at the same time thriving the country at Borys; murder of Tsarevich Dymitr; finally, the rise to power - this is just the beginning of Godunov's torment, every night dreaming of the bloodied ghost stabbed in Tsarevich's Uglich; Godunowa blamed by the people for all their misfortunes; Godunowa persecuted with the vision of depriving him of the Kremlin.
Full of unexpected turns of history, usurpation history in every possible variety, daring battles and front fights, illegal border crossing in search of allies and fear for their own lives, plotting various interest groups, immoral mercenaries ... And love entangled in politics, ubiquitous spies and suspicious relativity non-negotiable values.
The Godunov dynasty is coming to an end. Moscow is occupied by a former monk from the Czudowski Monastery Grigory Otriepiew. Russia, however, will not find comfort with its people under the new Tsar ...
"Borys Godunow" directed by the international renowned German producer Peter Stein , the creator of the famous monumental "Orestei", "Faust" exhibited at the EXPO in Hannover in 2000 or "Broken pitcher" with Klaus Maria Brandauer in the Berliner Ensemble, will be the biggest and the most demanding artistic production on Polish repertoire dramatic stages in the last 30 years.
