In celebration of the 100th anniversary of its publication, director Jeremy Seghers will stage Nick Gill’s adaptation of Franz Kafka’s surreal masterpiece The Trial. As darkly absurd as it is scathingly relevant, the story follows Josef K, a powerless victim of the system who is visited at home by state agents on his birthday, accused of an unspecified crime. Through this intimate staging, audiences will experience K’s waking nightmare of bizarre humiliations and compulsive procedures.
