A powerful true story based on the life of Father Adalbert Kazincy. As the priest of St. Michael Archangel Church of Braddock, Father K fervently protected his flock of overworked parishioners to stand firm against the steel empire as well as his own diocese during the Great Steel Strike of 1919.
FATHER K was originally commissioned and written for The Iron Clad Agreement, Julia Royall producer, for its 1979-80 season by playwright C.V. Peters. The role of Father Adalbert Kazinsky was originated by Wilson Hutton, and the show was directed by Geoffrey Hitch. Cast: James L. Krut, M. M. Melozzi, and Mark Harlow.
