The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, presents Becky's New Car by Steven Dietz, tonight, Jan. 31st through Feb. 17th in the Studio Theatre at The Pittsburgh Playhouse; Kim Martin directs.
In Becky's New Car, we follow the high-speed life of Becky Foster-caught in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage-with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life...and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn't dare. Becky's New Car is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.
The REP's production of Becky's New Car features Jodi Gage as Becky Foster, Tony Bingham as Joe Foster, Kevin Daniel O'Leary as Chris Foster, Randy Kovitz as Walter Flood, Katelyn Mancuso as Kensington (Kenni) Flood, Michael Fuller as Steve, and Adrienne Wehr as Ginger. Scenic design is by Maddie Bucci, lighting design by Andy Ostrowski, sound design by StEve Shapiro, and costume design by Don DiFonso.
