The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is proud to present WORLD OF JEWTOPIA, an off-Broadway comedy that has left audiences laughing in stitches from coast to coast, on Saturday, September 25, at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 26, at 2:00 p.m., at the Byham Theater. The New York Times praises, "Unstoppable! One of the most successful productions of the last decade!" The Los Angeles Times calls it "Outrageously Funny!" and "A raucous, merciless skewering of contemporary Jewish foibles, neuroses and stereotypes!" This performance of World of Jewtopia is part of the 2010-2011 Trust Presents series, sponsored by Cohen & Grigsby.

Bryan Fogel, creator and star of New York's longest running Off-Broadway comedy, JEWTOPIA, presents his comedic extravaganza WORLD OF JEWTOPIA. The 90-minute one act show includes highlights scenes from the smash stage production, stand-up comedy, excerpts from the bestselling book, JEWTOPIA: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People and a dazzling multimedia presentation. WORLD OF JEWTOPIA stars Bryan Fogel, the show's creator, and Jeremy Rishe. "Entertaining! Wild! Raucous! Certain to hit home with all observers, whatever their religion! (Variety)."

WORLD OF JEWTOPIA is about a man named Chris O'Connell, a self-loathing gentile, who says he wants to marry a Jewish girl so he will never have to make another decision for the rest of his life. His childhood friend, Adam Lipschitz, offers to guide him through the process and hilarity ensues. Among the many topics covered will be: how to pick the perfect restaurant table (because no table is right if you're a Jew), how to properly disinfect your hotel room to avoid catching the plague when on vacation, and excerpts from Moses' recently undiscovered diaries (Dear Diary: Um it's been like 5 years and I got to be honest, I AM LOST!). "Such a premise!...This show has edgy, late night attitude. Jewtopia is a show that appeals to all ages - what's not to like? (New York Newsday)."

Tickets ($28.25 - $43.25) for the Saturday, September 25, 8:30 p.m. & Sunday, September 26, 2:00 p.m. performances of WORLD OF JEWTOPIA at the Byham Theater may be purchased at the Box Office at Theater Square, 655 Penn Avenue, online at www.pgharts.org, or by calling (412) 456-6666.
