The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents award-winning and Grammy-nominated Jim Brickman, who has revolutionized the sound of adult contemporary music with his pop-style solo piano playing and romantic ballads. The Beautiful World Tour comes to the Benedum Center on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 8PM.

Brickman's remarkable career includes six Gold and Platinum selling albums, three #1 and twelve Top 10 Adult Contemporary radio hits, consistent debuts at #1 on Billboard Magazine's New Age chart, Grammy nominations in 2003 and 2009, SESAC "Songwriter of the Year" award, a Canadian Country Music Award for "Best Vocal/ Instrumental Collaboration," and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association for "The Gift."

Along with his career highlights, Brickman's best-known compositions include the chart-toppers "Valentine," "The Gift," "Love of My Life," and "Peace." In November 2005, he held the top three spots on Billboard's New Age chart for his albums The Disney Songbook, Grace and Greatest Hits. He has established a reputation for his collaborations with many gifted musical artists that include: Martina McBride, Michael W. Smith, Kenny Loggins, Carly Simon, Herb Alpert, Collin Raye, Pam Tillis, Michael Bolton, Donny Osmond and Olivia Newton-John.

His latest recording, Beautiful World, features all new music including some heard on the PBS concert special plus additional new solo piano pieces. Featured on the CD is the brand new song "Beautiful World (We're All Here)" sung by Adam Crossley. The CD also includes the concert finale "What The World Needs Now Is Love" performed by Jim Brickman, Jon Secada, Melinda Doolittle, Orla Fallon, Mark Masri, Anne Cochran, Adam Crossley, Dala, Tracy Silverman and David Klinkenberg.

TV audiences have seen Jim Brickman perform on ABC's Gala for the President at Ford's Theatre, Good Morning America, Extra, and Regis and Kelly. He served as special performing music correspondent for NBC's Today and hosted A&E's Winter Solstice on Ice.
