2010 Season

The Complete History of America (abridged) by Adam Long, ReEd Martin and Austin Tichenor. June 29 - July 11, 2010. Join us for a furious, comedic romp through the history of our great nation, from Columbus to Clinton and beyond. All this happens in just two hours. Covering current events fresh from today's and yesteryear's newspapers, we invite (an often insist upon) audience participation, making this a truly up-to-the-minute and interactive theatrical experience. Sponsored by Franklin County Visitors Bureau.

the Coward and the Glory by Keith Bridges. (World Premiere) July 13 - 25, 2010. Travel back in time in this outrageous comedy about an arrogant and obtuse civil war re-enactor, Thom Wilson, who by an unlikely turn of events, finds himself in a different time and place: 1864, two days before the burning of Chambersburg, PA. Our improbable hero begins to understand that he may have a part to play in history. And if he's not careful, history may play a part on him. Sponsored by F & M Trust.

Unnecessary Farce by Paul Slade Smith. July 27- August 8, 2010. Billie Dwyer and Eric Sheridan are incompetent, but highly earnest and honest cops who are convinced that their current stakeout will be their big break. As the plot thickens, they are confronted by an outrageous cast of characters, including a bag pipe playing assassin and an unlikely political villain. This delightfully funny, fast-paced comedy, written in the tradition of Lend Me A Tenor and Noises Off, will have you laughing out loud until the final curtain. Sponsored by The Orchards.

Ruthless! The Musical. Book and lyrics by Joel Paley. Music by Marvin Laird. August 10 - 22, 2010. Eight year old Tina Denmark will stop at nothing to play the lead in her school musical. This passionate pursuit is fueled by a cut-throat agent, Tina's doting mom, and a bitter theatre critic. This Off-Broadway hit is musical comedy at its best. Gypsy's Mama Rose was never this determined. It's a Bad Seed gone really, really bad. Sponsored by Patriot Federal Credit Union.
