Pittsburgh Public Theater continues its 35th season with William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Directed by Ted Pappas, this comic extravaganza runs Jan. 21 - Feb. 21, 2010 at the O'Reilly Theater, Pittsburgh Public Theater's home in the heart of Downtown's Cultural District.

In MIDSUMMER, Duke Theseus and Hippolyta are preparing for their wedding. Also with love on their minds are the younger members of the party - Hermia, Lysander, Helena, and Demetrius - who escape into the forest to pursue their amorous adventures. The forest is also being used by Bottom and his band of tradesmen, who are rehearsing a play to be performed at the wedding feast. When these mortals collide with the true residents of the woods, The Fairies, led by Titania, Oberon and Puck, hilarious mischief and magic ensue.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM includes 23 characters, played by 15 actors: John Ahlin (Bottom), Bianca Amato (Titania/Hippolyta), J.T.
