Pittsburgh CLO's 2013 Summer Season will be highlighted by brilliant Broadway stars, veterans of the stage and screen and accomplished recording artists.
42nd Street, May 31 - June 9
Patrick Ryan Sullivan makes his Pittsburgh CLO debut as the cynical director of Pretty Lady, Julian Marsh, after starring in the same role in the Broadway revival of 42nd Street. Mr. Sullivan previously starred as Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Titanic on Broadway.
Ephie Aardema also joins Pittsburgh CLO for the first time as Peggy Sawyer. Ms. Aardema has countless credits ranging from Chava in Fiddler on the Roof and Liesl in The Sound of Music at Theatre of the Stars to the world premiere of A Room with a View at The Old Globe. She has also received accolades for her roles as Laurey in Oklahoma!, Little Red in Into the Woods, Natalie in Next to Normal, Patsy in Crazy For You, Gertrude in Seussical, The Drowsy Chaperone, Under the Bridge, Titanic, Singin' in the Rain, HAIR and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Luba Mason returns to Pittsburgh CLO as the firecracker of a stage diva, Dorothy Brock, after starring as Velma Von Tussle in Pittsburgh CLO's Hairspray. After making her debut at an early age in Broadway's Late Night Comic, Ms. Mason was chosen by Tommy Tune to join the cast of The Will Roger's Follies and went on to appear in the American premiere of Sunset Boulevard, directed by Trevor Nunn. Recently, she starred as Velma Kelly opposite Brooke Shields in Chicago and has successfully begun a second career as a recording artist, releasing two critically-acclaimed albums, Collage and Krazy Love.
Joey Fatone last charmed audiences in Pittsburgh CLO's production of The Producers and has starred on Broadway in RENT and Little Shop of Horrors. After retiring from the worldwide smash-hit boy band 'N SYNC, Mr. Fatone has experienced great success on both stage and screen, taking his turn at "Dancing with the Stars," "The Singing Bee," "Robot Chicken," "Family Feud," "Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off," and My Big Fat Greek Wedding, among many others.
Fourteen local teens and a host of Pittsburgh CLO alumni will round out this impressive cast!
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, June 11 - 16
George Dvorsky reprises the role of Adam Pontipee he performed in Pittsburgh CLO's critically-acclaimed 2006 production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. A Greensburg, PA native, Mr. Dvorsky has also starred in nine other Pittsburgh CLO productions including Jekyll & Hyde, White Christmas and She Loves Me. His Broadway credits include The Scarlet Pimpernel, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and Passion. He will also be starring as Pat Denning this season in 42nd Street.
Mamie Parris returns to Pittsburgh CLO as Milly after starring as Violet in 9 to 5: The Musical. She is currently starring as Elphaba in the National Tour of Wicked. Her Broadway credits include the Tony Award-Nominated revival of Ragtime, five-time Tony Award-Winner The Drowsy Chaperone and Roundabout Theatre's acclaimed revival of 110 In the Shade. She also counts among her numerous credits two national tours with country music icon Kenny Rogers, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and numerous regional roles.
Kopit & Yeston's Phantom, June 21 - 30
Ron Bohmer last appeared in Pittsburgh CLO's blockbuster premiere of Disney's High School Musical and will now thrill audiences as the Phantom Erik. His impressive list of Broadway credits includes: A Little Night Music, Ragtime, The Woman in White, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Fiddler on the Roof and LES MISERABLES.
Erin Mackey makes her Pittsburgh CLO debut after recently appearing on Broadway in Anything Goes, Chaplin and Sondheim on Sondheim. This Carnegie Mellon University graduate made her Broadway debut as Glinda in Wicked - the youngest Glinda in Wicked history!
Peter Matthew Smith returns to Pittsburgh CLO as Jean-Claude, the Stage Manager of the Paris Opera House, in Phantom. This Sewickley native counts Cry-Baby, Fiddler on the Roof, Hairspray, Mamma Mia and RENT among his Broadway credits, in addition to the recent National Tour of Memphis. Pittsburgh CLO audiences will recognize him from appearances in A Musical Christmas Carol, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Student Prince.
Disney's The Little Mermaid, July 9 - 21
Jessica Grové joins Pittsburgh CLO for this exciting regional premiere as the ocean's most enchanting mermaid, Ariel, after starring in Broadway's A Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park with George, Thoroughly Modern Millie and LES MISERABLES.
Nick Adams will play Ariel's handsome Prince Eric, fresh off of his starring role in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert on Broadway. His Broadway credits also include: La Cage aux Folles, Guys and Dolls, The Pirate Queen, A Chorus Line and Chicago.
Ron Wisniski returns to his hometown to play Prince Eric's faithful sidekick Grimsby. His impressive career spans over three decades and includes the National Tours of Annie, Beauty & The Beast and Tintypes.

Several Pittsburgh CLO favorites will appear in various productions throughout the summer, including Jeff Howell (42nd Street, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Kopit & Yeston's Phantom), Paul Palmer (42nd Street, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Kopit & Yeston's Phantom) and Gavan Pamer (42nd Street).
