Pittsburgh CLO Sets Cast for 2015 Production of BOEING BOEING!

Pittsburgh CLO has announced the cast of the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit comedy, BOEING BOEING, which will run February 5 - April 26 at the CLO Cabaret.

Cast (In Alphabetical Order)

Tony Bingham (Bernard) is making his CLO Cabaret debut. His most recent collaboration was with PICT in Observe the Sons of Ulster... Other recent roles include: Presidente in Pantigleize for Quantum, Michael Apres in Heads for The Rep and Greg in Inky for Off The Wall. Recent film roles include: Frank in Franksgiving, Ernie in The Gospel of Ernie, and Uncle Randy in Progression. Mr. Bingham holds a BA from Point Park and an MFA from the University of Iowa.

Michael Fuller (Understudy) works as a professional actor and teacher in the Pittsburgh area. He most recently played Bernard in Boeing Boeing at St. Vincent Summer Theatre. Other recent credits include Baines in Tammy Ryan's Soldier's Heart and Steve in Becky's New Car at Point Park's The REP - two diverse roles winning him The Pittsburgh Post Gazette's Best Supporting Actor of the Year for 2013. He teaches at Point Park, Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 and Carnegie Mellon University.

Julia Geisler (Understudy) has a BFA in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and an MM in Opera Performance from the University of Kansas where she taught Acting I and musical theatre voice lessons. She has worked locally with Gemini Children's Theater as Wendy in their original production of Peter Pan and the Lincoln Park Center for the Performing Arts where she appeared this summer as Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music. Lisa Ann Goldsmith (Gretchen) returns to Pittsburgh CLO after playing Mrs. Cratchit in A Musical Christmas Carol for her fourth year. She has performed with many notable companies regionally and Off-Broadway, most recently as Mame in Mame with The Human Race Theatre Company. Lisa Ann has appeared locally with Pittsburgh Public Theater, Quantum Theatre, PICT, The REP, Bricolage and Unseam'd Shakespeare. She is also an SDC director whose next project is Out of This Furnace with Unseam'd Shakespeare. Films include the 2013 Sundance Dramatic Competition nominee "The Lifeguard," "The Next Three Days," "Love and Other Drugs," "One for the Money," "The Umbrella Man," "Progression" and "Mombies."

Connor McCanlus (Robert) is back at the CLO Cabaret after originating the role of Man #1 in Judge Jackie Justice. Local credits include Bricolage (Carrie in SCarrie: The Musical), Unseam'd Shakespeare, Prime Stage Theatre, Miniature Curiosa, Pittsburgh Playwrights, and Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks. He is an improv comedian and musical improviser at Arcade Comedy Theater, Steel City Improv Theater, and Unplanned Comedy Pittsburgh; His work has been featured in festivals including NYC (UCB East, PIT, Magnet) and Chicago (Athenaeum). Mr McCanlus is also the co-creator and host of HELLO DONNY Sing-Along.

Amanda Pulcini (Gloria) is a Cranberry Township native and graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory returning to Pittsburgh CLO after appearing in CATS (Jennyanydots), Legally Blonde The Musical and Singin' in the Rain this past summer. Elizabeth Ruelas (Berthe) is making her Pittsburgh CLO debut. Acting credits include Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, Regional Theatre, and various tours. She was recently seen playing Celia in Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks' production of As You Like It and played Ivy for The REP's production of August: Osage County at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She received her M.F.A. in Acting from Point Park University and her B.A. in Drama from the University of Arkansas. Kelly Trumbull (Gabriella) is making her CLO Cabaret debut. Local theater credits include THE REP, Bricolage Production Company, No Name Players, City Theatre Company, and Pittsburgh Public Theater's Young Company. Kelly currently teaches in the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University and at the Center for Theater Arts in Mt. Lebanon. She holds a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University and a master's degree in Educational Theatre in Colleges and Communities from New York University.

The Creative Team

Van Kaplan (Director/Pittsburgh CLO Executive Producer) returns to the CLO Cabaret after directing Judge Jackie Justice - The Trials of Love this past January, You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up! in 2012 and Ruthless! The Musical in 2011. He made his Pittsburgh CLO directing debut in 2002 with Guys and Dolls at the Benedum Center, and has since directed She Loves Me and West Side Story. He is the director each year for The Jimmy Awards at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre. His other directorial credits include the critically acclaimed production of Kopit and Yeston's Phantom at North Shore Musical Theater, On the Town, Shear Madness, Sweeney Todd with Candy Buckley, Nunsense starring Jo Anne Worley, Guys and Dolls starring Georgia Engel and South Pacific starring Cathy Rigby. Mr. Kaplan has worked with such celebrities as Betty Buckley, Tony Bennett, Bill Cosby, Natalie Cole, Carol Channing, Jerry Seinfeld, Johnny Mathis and Debbie Reynolds. As a producer, he has produced the Broadway productions of Evita, The Addams Family, Catch Me If You Can, Come Fly Away, and the upcoming production of An American in Paris as well as over 100 regional theater productions and tours.

Tony Ferrieri (Scenic Designer) recently served as Scenic Designer for Pittsburgh CLO's: Ring of Fire and Judge Jackie Justice. City Theatre: Mr. Joy, Smart Blonde, The Mountaintop, barebones: A Streetcar Named Desire, Quantum: Pantagleize. Other credits: Milieu Theatrics NY, Jewish Theatre of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Playwrights, Pittsburgh Opera, Carrnivale, PICT, Emelin Theatre, Northlight Theatre, barebones, Madison Rep, TheatreWorks, 1812 Productions, REP, Playhouse Conservatory, Tuesday Musical Club, Hartwood, Gargaro, Physical Theatre, Spur of the Moment, Chatham, Pitt, Development Dimensions International, Saltworks and Unseam'd.

Scott Nelson (Lighting Designer) returns to the CLO Cabaret after lighting Judge Jackie Justice. Recent designs include the Italian tour of Nut/Cracked (The Bang Group); Parlour Song (Quantum); Cantankerous Wiegenlied (TanzTheater André Koslowski); Belladonna (Adam Barruch); and Blue of Distance (DanceTheYard). Scott's toured the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe with the Warhol Museum's 13 Most Beautiful. Scott spends his summers at The Yard, a performing arts festival on Martha's Vineyard. He is a member of Actors' Equity Association and a graduate of Point Park.

Tim Brady (Production Stage Manager) returns for his tenth season as PSM at the CLO Cabaret. As an actor, he has appeared in 11 productions of Pittsburgh CLO's A Musical Christmas Carol and various summer season productions. Other local theaters that Mr. Brady has performed with include The Pittsburgh Pops, Starlight Productions, The New Pittsburgh Jewish Theatre, Stage Right and The Theater Factory. Mr. Brady was also the managing director of the Conley Inn Dinner Theater in Irwin for 17 years.

The Story

ONE MAN + THREE STEWARDESSES = NON-STOP COMEDY!
This Tony Award-winning swingin' '60s farce features Bernard, a wannabe-Casanova, with Italian, German, and American fiancées, each a beautiful airline hostess with frequent "layovers." He keeps "one up, one down and one pending" until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris and Bernard's apartment at the same time. A riotous hit comedy that recently enjoyed revivals in London and New York, Boeing Boeing is now set to arrive in Pittsburgh - fasten your seatbelts!
