Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce that Pittsburgh CLO veteran performer and volunteer, Paul Palmer, has been named one of 30 individuals globally to receive the 3Mgives Volunteer Award. This is the 30th year of the award, which is earned by 3Mers who are dedicated to improving and enriching lives in their local communities. Paul and his family are residents of the North Hills.
Paul has been a critical member of the Pittsburgh CLO family since 1975 as a professional actor (appearing in more than 60 Summer Season musicals with Pittsburgh CLO) and as an exceptional volunteer. As an actor, Paul volunteered to serve as the Actor's Equity Association Principal Deputy for more than 45 of the CLO productions in which he appeared. He also serves as lead volunteer for Pittsburgh CLO's annual Summer Season auditions, an effort he has helped to coordinate for more than 30 years. In addition to his extraordinary work on the artistic side of Pittsburgh CLO, Paul also serves as a member of Pittsburgh CLO's Education and Outreach Committee.
In recognition of this honor, 3M will donate $3,000 to Pittsburgh CLO, as well as acknowledge his accomplishments with a local celebration.
"We are pleased to recognize the service leadership of these 30 3Mers who devote their time and talent to helping others. We value their outstanding efforts, and are delighted to highlight their impact in our communities," said Tim Wong, Director, 3Mgives. "We are truly inspired by the on-going generosity of our people."
In addition to the $3,000 donation, the 3Mgives Volunteer Match program will donate $250 to Pittsburgh CLO. This program matches 3M employees' minimum 20 volunteer hours and alumni's 25 volunteer hours, in a calendar year, with a $250 3M Foundation grant to the qualifying nonprofit organization where they volunteer.
