The Constance T. Rockwell, Dolores and Walter Bold and the Charity Randall Foundation Scholarship recipients will be honored at a luncheon today, Wednesday, August 6 at the LeMont at 11:00am. The Pittsburgh CLO Guild offers college scholarship assistance to deserving students pursuing performing arts training, many of whom will be honored at this special luncheon. Also to be recognized are Moira, George and Morgan Davison for their service as Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball Chairs.
The 59th Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball, co-chaired by the three-generation team of Moira Davison, her son George Davison and her granddaughter Morgan Davison, was held on Saturday, June 7 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel Ballroom in downtown Pittsburgh. Proceeds from the Ball will support Pittsburgh CLO's Education and Outreach Programs, such as the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater, CLO Summer Internship Program and the CLO Mini-Stars.
Since 1946, the Pittsburgh CLO has been the driving force behind live musical theater in Pittsburgh and the entire Southwestern Pennsylvania region. Under the direction of Van Kaplan since 1997, this not-for-profit arts organization appreciates the support of nearly 200,000 patrons each year and produces a subscription series, educational programs, national tours and develops and invests in new works, including 19 Broadway shows (25 Tony Awards) featuring the current productions of Cinderella, Kinky Boots and Matilda. Its dedication to the musical theater art form extends to include such programs as the CLO Academy, the CLO Mini Stars, the Gene Kelly Awards, the Richard Rodgers Award the National High School Musical Theater Awards, the Construction Center for the Arts and the CLO Cabaret.
