Pittsburgh CLO Announces 2019 Summer Season - HELLO, DOLLY! and More

Pittsburgh CLO welcomes the Tony-Award Winning 2017 Best Musical Revival HELLO, DOLLY! to the 2019 Summer Season, starring Broadway Legend Betty Buckley as Dolly Gallagher Levi! This exciting National Tour will round out Pittsburgh CLO's 73rd season of Broadway's best here in Pittsburgh. Kicking off the 2019 Summer Season is audience favorite GREASE, June 7-16. The "word" is, this production is set to rule Rydell High with a songbook sure to strike a happy chord with musical theater and movie fans alike with hits "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee," "Born to Hand-Jive" and, of course, "Grease!"

Just across the prairie from Rydell comes the musical theater classic, OKLAHOMA!, June 21-30. Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved musical brings the Golden Age of Broadway back to Pittsburgh CLO as part of the organization's continuing mission to revive such masterpieces for modern-day audiences. OKLAHOMA! debuted in 1943, yet remains as vibrant and breathtaking as ever.

With a pinch of fairy dust, Pittsburgh CLO takes flight to the shores of Neverland with a magical production of PETER PAN, July 12-21. The show's enduring popularity has resulted in five Broadway revivals and four National Tours. Audiences will "crow" with excitement when Pittsburgh CLO produces this delightful musical for all ages next summer.

The Benedum Center will ROCK July 23-28 with the Pittsburgh CLO premiere of ROCK OF AGES! The New York Times said it best - "ABSURDLY ENJOYABLE! About as guilty as pleasures get!" The score is straight out of "Heaven," with chart-topping hits such as "We Built This City," "Wanted Dead or Alive" and countless others that remind us all that "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

"Captivating," "inventive" and "irresistible" all describe the next show in Pittsburgh CLO's Summer Season, July 30-August 4. ONCE won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2012, and has been winning hearts ever since. Inspired by the film, ONCE brings a compelling love story to life with riveting, high-energy music played by the very actors themselves. It's the type of show audiences may only see "once" in a lifetime.

When this Rodgers and Hammerstein masterpiece made its Broadway debut in 1943, it launched a new era in American musical theater - fusing story, song and dance through the stunning choreography of Agnes De Mille. It also began one of the most successful songwriting partnerships in Broadway history.
